How Flixerpay works: the questions people ask
Last updated 20 September 2026. Answers are taken from the Terms; where one summarises, the Terms are what binds.
Eight questions about the platform itself: what it is, what it costs, what happens to the money, and what happens to your work. Questions about a particular kind of work are answered on their own pages, linked at the end.
What is Flixerpay?
Flixerpay is a Nigerian social-campaign marketplace. A brand posts a campaign with a brief and a bounty, a creator claims it and makes the post, the brand approves the work, and the bounty is released. Flixerpay is the venue and the tools rather than a party to the agreement between the two.
Is Flixerpay free to use?
No, and it is worth knowing which side pays what. Creators pay a take rate on approved work, deducted when the bounty is released, and the rate depends on your plan. Brands pay a flat subscription for access, charged by Paystack. Both the price and the take rate are shown in the app before you are charged or before you claim.
Card details are held by Paystack. Flixerpay never stores a card number.
Is the money already there before I do the work?
Yes. A campaign must be funded on the Uphiva rail before creators are asked to work on it. That is the point of the rule: you are making a post against money that already exists rather than against a promise to pay later.
What happens if a brand rejects my post?
A brand has to review within the window shown on the campaign and approve or reject in good faith. It may not ask for anything outside the brief as a condition of approval, and rejecting work that meets the brief and then using it anyway is a breach of the Terms. A revision request is normal and is not a rejection.
Do I need an Uphiva account?
Yes. Your Uphiva account is your Flixerpay identity and it is the only way in. There is no separate Flixerpay password and you will never be asked for one, so treat anybody asking as a fraud. Signing in registers you at the same time, so there is no second form to fill in.
Are XP and Flexcoin money?
No. Approved work earns both, and the Terms are plain that they are not money: they have no cash value from Flixerpay, cannot be exchanged for cash by us, and are not a stored balance. Flexcoin is redeemed inside Uphiva on whatever terms Uphiva sets. Leaderboard seasons reset.
Does Flixerpay employ creators?
No. A creator is not an employee, agent or contractor of Flixerpay, and Flixerpay is not a party to the agreement between a brand and a creator. It is a venue and a set of tools. That also means no campaign is guaranteed to be claimed and no work is guaranteed to be approved.
Who can sign up?
Anyone 18 or older who can enter a contract. One person, one account. Creating extra accounts to evade a suspension, inflate a leaderboard or claim the same campaign twice is against the Terms.
